At UAVTEK we are on the lookout to add to our expanding team. Below are the available positions we are currently after. Please note the workshop is dog friendly, so please state in your covering letter if you have any allergies.

Any previous experience with drones, such as RC planes is desirable.
We can also train you to fly drones so you will have the opportunity to become a qualified drone pilot; if desired.
We reward performance and encourage problem solvers. 


What we want – FPV drone pilots, that have built their own drones.
What we don’t want – DJI pilots. 


We are looking for someone to join our small but growing team, building cutting edge drone technology. Ideally you will have an extensive experience with Raspberry Pi, Jetson, Audino and Beagle Bone. You will be an expert in Python and ideally proficient in C and C++.

– You should be able to use Git \ GitHub.
– You need to be a problem solver and enjoy a challenge.

Additional desirable skills:

– Use of OpenCV.
– Machine learning principles, especially image classification.
– Experience of geospatial tools, standards and scripts.
– LIDAR processing.
– Networking protocols and security.
– WiFi/RF knowledge and antenna theory.

You will be working across the spectrum of the Software Development Lifecycle.

Responsibilities will include:
Plan, conduct and coordinate software development activities Design, develop, document, test and support software Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools Working with the engineering team to turn code into a finished product This role offers more than a standard coding job, as if you have pilot skills you will be able to test out your coding on unmanned systems. The environment is exciting, experimental, and dog friendly!
